Table Decorations For Men's Birthday: brown paper runner, simple centre piece, DIY men's shirt blue bunting, and snacks for the birthday boy.
A few days ago we celebrated my sweet husband’s birthday, and I put together a pretty handsome table for our little family celebration. Today I'm sharing some table decorations for a men's birthday.
Living in a house of all girls, he’s always out numbered and always a good sport when it comes to being surrounded by pink and pretty. Since this was his special day though, I wanted it feel like him. His fav. colour is blue, and I was going for a casual, masculine vibe.
Table Decorations for a Men's Birthday
Butcher Paper Table Runner
Since it was casual (he requested take-out fish and chips for dinner), I started out with butcher paper for the paper, and then added in some easy blue accents.
Men's Shirt Bunting
The bunting flags are some that I made ages ago, but usually make an appearance for Father’s Day. They’re made out of old thrifted men’s shirts, and I love all the blue stripes, and checks together.
I even made a mini-version for his birthday pie.
To make the bunting find some old men's shirts at the thrift store, garage sales, or use old ones you have. Use pinking shears to cut the large triangle bunting pieces and then stitch or even hot glue the tops to some ribbon or string.
Masculine Centrepiece
The centrepiece was simple, a beautiful bucket of white hydrangeas with a few pussy willow sticks tucked in.
Birthday Number Favour Bags
For a personal touch, I made these sweet little bags of peanuts, one of his favourites. You could fill them with any yummy snack that your guy enjoys. I decorated the bag with every version of “52” I could think of…writing, printing, numbers, roman numerals, even “two score and twelve”. I just used a blue sharpie to add them to the bags, and you could do this for any number depending on how old your birthday boy is.
The peanut bags looked really great with the blue plaid napkins.
I kept the place settings really simple with our everyday white dishes, paper napkins, and our stemless wine glasses, which also work great for juice for the kids.
Our simple tablescape turned out great.
With table decorations for a men's birthday, life really is a party!

Thanks so much Barbara. The banner was simple to make; a few old shirts, cut and stitched on to some ribbon, you could even use glue. Thanks again.

I really like this table. It is so simple and yet so festive - just the kind of table I enjoy! I love your banner too. I would love to have one like that.
