Valentine's Day At Home Spa: surprise your tween or teen daughters with face masks, manicures, fancy refreshments, candles, and a bubble bath.
I set up a fun Valentine's Day At Home Spa for my daughters -one's a tween and the other is a teen. I thought they would love it and they did. It was the perfect Valentine's Day surprise for them. If you have some little ladies in your life too, this might be a great idea for you.
I set up the spa for them in our master bathroom. It's quite a large space, so I add an ottoman to the middle of the room and some furry rugs. Just for fun, there were some pillows and tassel bunting, and mini lights to set the scene.
Candles and Music
Since my girls are older, I also lit lots of candles for them to enjoy.
I also set up a speaker so we could play some music in the background for them.
Fancy Refreshments
I wanted to have a couple of fancy refreshments for them, so we had some black cherry pop (one of our favourites) in pretty champagne glasses.
And since it's Valentine's Day we also had to have some chocolates.
Spa Robes
Just like a real spa, we had these so soft, white robes waiting for them too.
Spa Treatments
The spa activities were really simple. I had a tray of things ready for them to do their nails.
And I also picked up a couple of face masks for them at the drug store.
I also put out some really pretty bath supplies.
I love these pretty glass jars holding bath salts, bath bombs, and rose petal soaps.
We added a pink bath bomb, some bubble bath, and some of the rose soap petals to the bath.
I love how it turned the water pretty pink. There's also a few styrofoam hearts floating on top (picked up a the dollar store and such a fun addition).
What could be better than a soak in here, with a nice drink?
The girls had a lot of fun enjoying their special Valentine's Day Spa, which might have also included doing each other's hair and makeup -one of their favourite pastimes lately. 😉
Putting this girly surprise together for them was the perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
If your kids are younger, you could adjust it slightly for their age by doing the manicures and/or pedicures for them. For younger kids it might be fun to include not only the styrofoam hearts for the bath, but also foam sheet hearts in pink and red, that would stick to the side of the bathtub when wet and be really great to play with. Real rose petals and flowers in the bath are really beautiful too.
The best part of the whole At Home Spa was seeing their faces when we surprised them, and they had so much fun enjoying it all. Busy making memories over here. 😉 Hope it inspires you.
With a Valentine's Day At Home Spa, life really is a party.
