Pastel Christmas Living Room: Inspired by Anthropologie, with bottle brush Christmas trees, mercury glass, vintage ornaments, macrame, and pastel colours.
Our pastel Christmas living room is feeling so cozy and fun for Christmas. It's always a favourite spot over Christmas for movie watching, gathering with friends, and opening presents on Christmas morning. Our comfy leather sectional has lots of seating so it's perfect.
This year I've added a little colour with pretty pastels and I love it. Lots of white and neutrals too, but some touches of pink, turquoise, and green too. I was inspired by the Anthropologie look I've seen so much this Christmas. Things like colourful bottle brush trees, mercury glass, macrame, pompoms, pampas grass, and pastel colours. I hope you like it too.
Pastel Christmas Fireplace Mantel
I started off with the mantel, which I shared in more detail here. The colourful pastel felt ball garland inspired the colours used.
I used lots of pretty trees, including some older mercury glass ones that I hadn't used in years.
Christmas Coffee Table
On our toy box coffee table, I included our antique wood dough bowl full of some of my favourite vintage ornaments.
A lot of the ornaments are ones that I've collected at thrift stores over the years, and real favourites of mine.
I also included some more trees, and a new collection of mercury glass candle holders.
On the couch I used a combination of cozy white pillows, and added in a few pink and turquoise to add some colour.
Pastel Glitter House Christmas Tree
On the tree this year I decided to use my collection of glitter houses. Years ago one Christmas I made this whole collection and some for my family and friends too. It was long before I owned a Cricut machine, and they were all cut out on my kitchen table with an exacto knife and out of cereal boxes I saved for months. You can read all about how I made them here.
On the tree I also added a homemade garland of pompoms, and some more vintage ornaments.
The tree turned out really cute and I love that it's a bit different.
Over on the other side of the room, is a favourite chair, with more trees on the side table.
And behind this chair, against the back wall at the bottom of the stairs is another cute little vignette.
The art piece is one of the colour engineer prints that I made a hanger for -you find the tutorial on how to make it here.
This is a collection of some of my favourite vintage pieces, and more trees to tie it in with the rest of the decor down here this year.
The living room is feeling so cozy and fun, and all ready for Christmas.
With a colourful Christmas Living Room, life really is a party!
