Rustic Christmas Table

Rustic Christmas Table Decor: wood pieces make a rustic centrepiece with pinecones, candles, and faux snow for a little Christmas magic.

Christmas dinner is a special meal, and I love to set a special table to enjoy it at. I love our rustic Christmas table decor this year. Wood logs, pinecones, and faux snow bring the beauty of the outdoors in. It's the perfect spot for Christmas dinner with the family. In our family we have Christmas breakfast with my husband's family and Christmas dinner with some of mine. We're so lucky to have lots of family near by.

This year's rustic Christmas tablescape is really bringing the outdoors in. There are a few special pieces that helped me bring it all together.

Gauze Cotton Napkins

I'm excited to be partnering again with Natures Sweet Creations. The beautiful napkins are made of organic cotton double gauze in the colour charcoal.

I love the feel of them, and their natural and un-ironed look.

Placesettings

The other treasures I used as part of the rustic Christmas table decor this year are the vintage brass Christmas tree napkin rings. I was lucky to find a set of 10 at the thrift store.

I used my new everyday dishes -love their irregular, rustic shape. And for the glasses, I thought these tree ones were perfect for this table, and the little bit of grey in them ties in well with the napkins.

I also used my gold cutlery to tie in with the napkin rings.

Rustic Christmas Table Decor Wood Centre Piece

For the centre of the table I layered a knit runner with some wood stump pieces.

I was lucky enough to get some help with this from an arborist who let me pick out some pieces from his wood pile and cut them to length for me. On some of the smaller pieces, I painted the tops green to match my new dining room feature wall -read about how we did it here.

I mixed different heights of wood pieces to create interest, and also added in some birch candles. I love the forest feel.

On top of the wood pieces I added a combination of moss and faux snow, with some sparkly stars thrown in for a little holiday magic.

There's also lots of pinecones, and a little fresh pine, along with some decorative mushrooms, and more candles.

I can't wait for Christmas dinner at this pretty table. And don't worry, I know there's no room for the food. 😉 I usually serve up dinner on the kitchen table, and guests help themselves buffet style.
