I want to wish you a Happy New Year.  It's almost hard to believe that we're about to be celebrating New Year's.  

These days New Year's Eve is the big celebration.  When I was a kid though, we didn't really celebrate New Year's Eve at all, we had a big dinner with extended family on New Year's Day.  Celebrations sometimes change a little over time.  Today I hardly get any Christmas cards anymore.  I'm sure I've never received a Happy New Years card.  I guess that about 100 years ago, it was common to send a New Year's greeting postcard like these ones.  These are all post marked after Christmas, 1911-1917.

I was lucky to find them at my local antique market this past week, and thought they'd be really fun to share for this New Years blog hop.  I made mine into a really simple banner to display them.
