Modern Boho Fall Mantel Ideas: using elements like macrame, dried grasses, vintage glass bottles and seasonal elements to create fall mantel.

I love decorating for the seasons, and fall is one of my favourites. This modern boho fall mantel is full of beautiful boho and fall touches. This season I'm using a colour palette of pink, peach, and rust, and it's so perfect for fall.
Modern Boho Elements
This mantel is full of boho elements. I've used things like macrame, vintage pieces, dried pieces, and seasonal elements to create a beautiful modern boho fall mantel.
Macrame
This macrame bunting has been hanging here for years. You can see how I made it here. I love how much texture it adds to the space. It's neutral so it goes with everything, and it's become such a great layering piece.
Vintage Glass
I love adding some vintage pieces to every space. This mantel has quite a few, but lets start with the large glass vintage bottles. There is a large demi John on the floor, and above large vintage water bottles. I've found them all second hand, usually on-line or local buy and sell groups.
Dried Grases
The feeling of boho is often very 70's, and you can't think of the 1970's without thinking of dried flowers. I know my mom definitely had some. These days pampas grass is definitely having a moment. This beautiful grass in pink and white is from one of my favourite etsy shops EverythingFrivolous. The dried money plant is some from my mom's garden.
Butterflies and Scientific Glass
I love adding elements of nature to my decor, and these butterflies in orange, yellow, and brown tones are a beautiful addition, and the colours feel perfect for fall. This piece is from a second hand store. The frame was originally a dark reddish brown, and it didn't really go with our vibe. I used my palm sander and it only took about 15 minutes to remove the old finish. The raw wood finish looks really great now.
I always love including scientific glass as a fun vase. It adds interest instead of using a plain vase. The piece with the feathers is another vintage find from an antique store. The cute one in the stand is from Michaels. It's part of their Halloween line, but I think it's perfect as a vase.
Pumpkins and Leaves as Fall Elements
Since this mantel is for fall, I wanted to add some specific fall elements. The pumpkins are a mix of real and faux. The pink coloured one is so beautiful. Here's a tip if you're adding real pumpkins to your home this fall, add a little parchment paper underneath your pumpkin to protect the surface it's sitting on.
There's nothing more beautiful in fall than the leaves. We added a really simple fall leaf garland and layered it over the macrame one. I made the leaf garland with my Cricut and some very thin wood veneer. It was really easy to make and I love how the wood leaves tie in with the wood vintage window frame that we're using for a background.
I love how pretty this modern boho fall mantel turned out. And I can't wait to share my whole boho fall home tour with you next week!
With this beautiful fall mantel, life really is a party!
