Boho Fall Mantel Decor Ideas: boho styling for fall with dried grasses and flowers, brass candlesticks, house plants, and eclectic art.
This year in my fall decor I'm adding some darker colours on the mantel. I love how it turned out and I'm excited to share my fall mantel decor ideas with you.
Colour Scheme
I ordered this pretty pink floral pillow for my living room weeks ago, and it was really the jumping off point for my decor this year. It inspired lots of pink, and a little burgundy this year to go with it. I also wanted to add in lots of dried flowers and other florals where I could.
Inexpensive Art
This inspired the pretty painting print. To make it I spent some searching for a floral from the Dutch masters that would work for me. I landed on Maria van Oosterwyck's Still Life with Flowers, Insects and a Shell. You can download and use it for free from London's Royal Collection Trust here.
I had it printed as a 18 x 24 colour engineering print, for under $7. Then I added some wood strips to the top and bottom to hang it. You can read all about how I add the wood to the engineer prints here.
Boho Elements
Since it's fall I also used some pumpkins. The grass is some that I found last year and dried and it looks great here. I used a vintage glass jar to hold the grass, and then repeated the shape and texture in an amber glass jar. The amber glass jar brings out the gold colour in the print too, and feels perfect for fall.
The lanterns help tie in the black and candles are always cozy for fall.
The brass candles with the Burgundy and pink add some more boho charm. I've found it easy to find the coloured taper candles at thrift stores. The live plants help create more of the boho feel on the mantel.
The lady picture was a thrift store find a few weeks ago. The colours were perfect and she adds a fun element to the mix.
Bunting
I left up my macrame bunting, see how I made it here.
And I layered with some beautiful straw flowers. The straw flowers are from the lovely etsy shop Country Mouse Boutique. I used the mixed strawflowers in pinks and burgundy to create this flower garland. To create it I used a needle and thread to string them together. It turned out so beautiful, and the dried flowers perfect for fall.
This eclectic mix feels so full and interesting and layered.
With all these boho fall mantel decor ideas, life really is a party!
