These little bunny treat boxes, are so much fun and perfect for Easter or any time for the bunny lover. Use them to hold Easter eggs, or any yummy treat. They'd make a great addition to Easter baskets, your Easter table, an egg hunt, or as a great way to give any Easter treats.
This Easter treat box is really easy to make. They can be made from one sheet of regular copy paper -in fact I found they're best made of paper, since it's easier to manipulate the bunny ears and not bend them that way. I prefer to use regular letter size copy paper, instead of white cardstock. If you wanted to try different materials, you could try coloured copy paper -pastel colours rather than bright colours would be cute for spring. If you wanted the boxes to be bigger, you could scale the design in Cricut Design Space and cut out of a 12 x 12 scrapbook paper. These might be cut with a floral paper for Easter too.
The glasses are a fun addition to the project, and you can make them in any colour. But if they're not for you, feel free to leave them out.
The face is created using the Cricut markers, so you don't have to worry about gluing on tiny bits after they're cut, which makes this project so much easier.

Ungroup the items.
Using the layers panel at the side, select the eyes and mouth and change the operation from cut lines to pen for the bunny face.
Select the four lines that form a square and change the cut layer operation to score, changing them from cutting lines to scoring lines.
Select the box outline, score lines, and face -but not the glasses and attach.
Make It
Now you're ready to choose Make It and cut out the bunny treat box.
Select 81/2 x 11 as your mat size, and cut out the bunny treat box with regular white copy paper -choosing the right weight when you select materials. Follow the instructions on the screen to insert a black marker, and also a scoring tool -either the scoring wheel or the scoring stylus will work for this project.
Choose a colour of cardstock and cut out the glasses with your cutting machine.
You may choose to colour in the eyes with the marker to make them solid, after the bunny treat box is cut out, but before you fold it to make it easier. Also glue on the glasses. If you are adding a bunny tail, you can glue it on also. A glue stick will work great for the glasses, but depending on how big of a pom pom you add for a tail, you might want to use your hot glue gun, just for this element if you choose to add it.
Assembly
To assemble the Bunny Treat Box, use the score lines to fold in the sides of the box. Gently guide the ears through the slits in the side of the box, doing one side at a time, and adding your treats into the box.
These bunny treat boxes are such a fun way to give a little Easter treat, or any time of year. They even make adorable Easter decorations.
