It's always fun to add a few special touches for spring, like this free spring printable art. Spring is always a season of renewed hope and rebirth, especially for a gardener. This great quote is a perfect reminder of the joy that spring brings.
This quote is a favourite of mine. I found it a few years ago and shared it on a letter board. I liked it so much, that I thought it might be nice to make a more permanent version, and turn it into an art piece.
Inexpensive Engineer Prints
I love getting art printed on as large engineer prints at my local office store. It's really inexpensive and easy to do, and has so much impact. I just uploaded the file the to the office store on-line and picked it up in a few hours when it was printed.
Simple DIY Wood Art Hangers
You can display this large piece in a frame. Or add some wood strips to the bottom for hanging like I did. I picked up the wood pieces at a home reno store. They're called "nailing strips" and in the lumber section. They're less than a dollar each. Have them cut at the store, usually for free for just two small cuts, or use a little hand saw at home to cut them to length.
I used some stain I had on hand for this one, then screwed in two simple small eye hooks, and attached some twine for hanging.
To attach the paper to the frame, just line it up and use a regular stapler to attach it to wood from the back.
I love using this method. When I ever I feel like changing it up, I get something new printed, and remove the staples, and reuse the wood strip pieces on a new piece of art. I have a collection of the prints rolled up with an elastic, so I can reuse them as well.
Free Spring Printable Art In Letter Size
I also made this free spring art available in a smaller letter size version. It's perfect for a clipboard or a frame. It will add a little touch of spring and hope to any spot.
It doesn't feel too much like spring here yet. There's still snow on the ground. Decorating this one little spot has been such a nice little boost to my mood. I can't wait to add more touches of spring here, and coax it to come!
