Spring Home Decor Ideas: black, white and green decor for spring including lots and lots of plants, flowers, vintage and Easter touches.
One of my favourite things to do is add seasonal decor to my home. It feels like it's been a long, cold winter, and although there's still snow on the ground here -just outside of Toronto, I'm happy for it to be spring at least inside. 😉
This year I decided to add lots of green for spring to my existing black and white. It really made the house feel alive and so spring-y.
The Dining Room
We have this little table in our entrance way. I've had this typewriter for ages, but it was perfect for my green scheme this year.
The little twig houses I made from sticks -you can find the tutorial here. I love them with these little succulents inside. They remind me of little green houses for spring. I think I need to make a few more for here.
Dining Room Table
In the dining room I had so much fun adding lots of green and spring touches to the table.
I started out with lots of green plants, and flowers.
Next, I layered on some pretty string lights, and lots of spring touches like bunnies, eggs, and some cement mushrooms.
I did a mixture of real and faux plants, and I think it's hard to tell the difference.
My favourite touch is probably the vintage post cards. I picked them up at my favourite antique mall, and they're so beautiful. They definitely feel like treasures.
Spring Wreaths
At the end of the room on the checked wall, I did a series of wreaths for spring. I first did these wreaths for Christmas, and liked them so much I changed them a little for Valentine's Day by adding lots of pink. And now for spring, I've kept them going all dressed in green for spring.
To make them ready for spring, I added in some green pom poms and ribbon, and a few faux succulents.
And on the buffet, I kept things simple with just a wood dough bowl full of cotton thread. It looks great against my DIY Buffalo Check wall -see how I painted it here.
The large green demi john glass bottle is a new addition -a great on-line find for a bargain price. I love the green glass.
Bar Cart
And on the other side of the dining room the bar cart is ready for spring too.
I also did a trough of eggs for spring. I added some old shredded book pages, and then a mix of beautiful moss, and green eggs.
With the dining room feeling ready for spring, let's head into the living room.
The Living Room
This little table is the sweetest spot.
Above the table, in the little house shelves I added a collection of vintage sewing supplies.

Fireplace
You might have seen my fireplace, last week when I shared it. You can read more about my Spring Mantel here.
I had fun adding lots more plants and green here too.
Over on the couch I added a few fun green velvet pillows.
My favourite additions to the coffee table are my bowls of buttons.
With the dough bowl of cotton thread in the dining room, my vintage sewing supplies in the little house shelves, and my bowls of buttons here on the coffee table I've added lots of fun vintage textile pieces. I love how much texture they add to the space.
They are also a nod to celebrating International Women's Day this month, and reminding myself of how traditionally women have used buttons, threads, and needles to create, to mend, and to hold things together for so many.
On the other side of the room, I've added lots of big plants, and it feels so nice for spring. My dog Oscar has made himself at home. 😉
I'm also really in love with the large demi john jars. I asked my sister to hunt some down for me for Christmas and she came through like a champ. I added some fun tassels to them for that boho vibe that I love.
Over in the kitchen, the plants continue.
The Kitchen
You might have seen my DIY Miniature Sheep from a few weeks ago on the blog. They're so sweet for spring.
Another favourite is this thrifted planter -love the green, filled with some spring bulbs. They don't last long but they're so pretty!
I loved the winter print I added to my kitchen for Christmas -see it in my Christmas home tour here. So for spring I found another great free printable image here, and had it printed as a coloured engineer's print. It's so inexpensive (around $5) and adds so much to the space.
I love how this little spot turned out. The tassel bunting came with some peach tassels, but I just removed them and added a little bit of green to make it work in my space.
Over here, another mix of real and faux plants.
Open Shelves
And over on the other side of the kitchen, I had a lot of fun decorating my open shelves with a little green.
I had fun hunting for a few green treasures to add in for spring, like these pretty vintage bottles I found at the antique market.
And the sweet little lambs (and bunnies) look like they're vintage but are a recent purchase from Hobby Lobby -in case you want to look for some.
Over on the other side, I added some pretty new green glasses, and more plants to tie with our theme.
All the little details are so fun to add for each different season.
Plants, plants, and more plants -and I love it.
I hope you enjoyed having a peek at my home all dressed up in green for spring. I hope it inspires you to add a few plants to celebrate spring -even if they're of the faux variety. 😉
With green, black, and white spring home decor ideas like these, life really is a party!
