Garden Party: Easy DIY Cricut garden party decor, with custom stickers, paper flower peonies, and a DIY cake topper.

Summer days are perfect for enjoying with friends in the garden. I love entertaining in my garden when the weather is warm, and the flowers are blooming. There's no nicer backdrop for spending time with friends enjoying great food. I used my Cricut to create some beautiful garden party decorations, including paper peonies to decorate the table, a gorgeous paper cake topper, and custom made stickers.
I had a lot of fun creating this beautiful get together with a few fun Circut projects. The paper peonies were one of my favourite additions to this garden party. Even if you don't have peonies growing in your garden, you can enjoy the paper version.
Garden Party Table
I started with a white linen table runner, and then used white plates, and my favourite white and gold cutlery. I added pink linen napkins to each place setting and simple glass wine glasses. To decorate the table, we created a centrepiece of paper flowers, and beautiful sweet treats on milk glass cake plates. On each placesetting I added the custom stickers, which acted as a place card for the guests. I also layered another paper peonies, to bring the whole table together.
I love the way this tablescape turned out. The soft pink, and deeper rose look great together, and repeating the colours with the flowers, the stickers, the napkins, and the pillows on the chairs pulls the look together. I also love using the actual party food as part of the centrepiece. It looks beautiful and guests can help themselves throughout the party. My final tip for creating a beautiful, full looking tablescape is use a smaller table and add lots of elements to create interest and fullness.
Garden Setting
We set up our party in our white garden. It's a favourite spot full of white perennial flowers. We have a love seat and two matching chairs here on a pea gravel patio. It's a beautiful and comfortable spot perfect for a leisurely afternoon. I used a coffee table to create an intimate relaxed table, and added some indoor pillows to the space to match our party colours. Next to this seating area is a fountain, which creates a beautiful ambience.

3D Paper Peony Materials:
- Card Stock in Pink, White, Rose, and Green
- Cricut Maker
- Scoring Wheel Tip for Cricut
- 3D Paper Peony Flower Cut File in Cricut Design Space
How To Make 3D Paper Peonies
I used the 3D Paper Peony Flower Cut File in Cricut Design Space. To make the peonies, open the file in Cricut Design Space, and follow the prompts to make it. Start with the green card stock and the score wheel to cut out the leaves. Next cut the flower pieces in pink, rose, or white card stock.
Once all the pieces are cut out and weeded, use a pencil to curl the edges of the flower petals. Next, hot glue the large petals together where the slit on the bottom is to create 3d petals. Next hot glue the four outer petals to the green leaves. To create the inner flower, connect the long sections of petals together, using the slit in the paper to connect them end to end. Next roll up the long petals. Insert the rolled petals into the centre of the round petal piece, and attach with hot glue. Lastly, glue this section into the centre of the other four petals glued to the green leaves. Make some final adjustments to the petals to finish.
To create smaller versions of the paper flower peonies, choose to customize the 3D peony flower pattern in Cricut Design Space. Click select all, and use the arrow in the corner to shrink all the pattern pieces together. Next follow the same procedure as above to create your smaller peonies.
Bloom Cake Topper
To decorate the cake for the garden party, I made a really easy and beautiful cake topper. Life is a Party subscribers can find the free file in our Free Resource Library. If you are not yet a subscriber, subscribe below for free instant access.
To make it, download the Bloom Cake Topper file, then upload it to your canvas in Cricut Design Space. I used rose card stock to cut out the word. Next I used hot glue to attach some wood skewers to insert the word into the cake. As well as the Bloom cake topper, I added two paper peonies to the cake as well.
Custom Stickers
I used the print and cut feature of my Cricut machine to create custom stickers as a favour for my garden party.

Garden Party Food Ideas
We kept our garden party menu sweet and simple. The cake was a simple vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, and raspberry jam. Made from a mix, and easy to put together, it was perfect for our garden party. Along with our cake we served some beautiful fresh strawberries, and cherries. As well we added in some vanilla macarons picked up at the bakery. Lastly we made some simple custard tarts with fresh berries on top. We also offered a choice of pink lemonade or rosé wine as the perfect accompaniment for all our sweet treats.
This party was so fun to put together, and to enjoy the garden. This is my favourite kind of summer entertaining -a beautiful settings, great food, and custom DIY decor. With a garden party like this to enjoy, life really is a party!
