Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas: grey, pink, and burgundy come together for a rustic Thanksgiving tablescape with candles, flowers, and favours.
I'm so excited to share this beautiful tablescape with you. I partnered with Giant Tiger to bring you all these Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas. Thanksgiving is just around the corner here in Canada and I hope this inspires you.
I continued my pink and burgundy fall decor -see more in my fall home tour here. I've mixed in lots of grey for this table too. If you're more of a traditional orange fan for fall, you could use orange accents and pumpkins instead.
I set up in the kitchen since we're going to be a little smaller than usual this Thanksgiving. This same tablescape would work great on a larger table too, depending on how you're celebrating this year.
The Place Settings
I started out with the place settings and my great Giant Tiger finds. The H2K Sutton Dinnerware grey plates are found in store and I love the deep grey colour.
I also added in the "Colour Your Home" wood side plates for a fun rustic touch -also available in store. The grey tied in perfectly.
The beautiful black cutlery is also from Giant Tiger, and the perfect dark accent to the table.
Fall Favour Idea
On the top of each plate I added a small favour for my guests. I found some delicious caramel apples in store at Giant Tiger. To make them extra special I removed them from their packaging and wrapped them in some cellophane and added a Burgundy ribbon to match our table.
The Centrepiece
Inspired by the wood themed side plates, I add some more wood to the table. I used some wood rounds, and painted the tops to match our table colours.
The wood pieces are arranged down the centre of the table alternating heights, and I used them as little pedestals for some pumpkins, candles, and flowers.
The white baby boo pumpkins are from Giant Tiger and I added one larger one from our garden.
One of my favourite touches was lots of pretty candles. The grey tea light holders, and Burgundy glass taper candle holders came as part of this set. I love how the tamper candles add a little height to the table.
I also added some pretty scented candled candles in cranberry -which seemed perfect for Thanksgiving and mixed berries. You might have also spotted a few painted acorns for a fun fall touch.
Lastly I added in the beautiful flowers. They're a combination of flowers from my garden, my sister's garden, and my moms. My sister used to be a florist, so I got her to put these together for me and they turned out amazing. We went for an "S" design, with lots of whimsical grasses, and other wispy pieces, including curly willow branches.
Dessert Apple Dumplings
For dessert I made one of our favourite old family recipes, with a time saving new twist.
These apple dumplings were a stable at my house growing up, made by my mom, and my grandma. I've turned them into a really quick and easy recipe. If you're craving homemade pie for Thanksgiving, but looking for something a little simpler, than this is the perfect recipe and you can pick up everything you need at Giant Tiger. Find the apple dumpling recipe here.
This Thanksgiving table was so fun to put together, and we're all set for a little family get together to celebrate. I hope it inspires you too.
