Movie Tickets
Start the evening off right with a movie ticket. Use it to invite your family, friends, or significant other to the event. Slip on someone special's pillow, in their lunch box, or in a card.
Valentine's Day Movie Night Decorations
Our free printables include some fun decor for the evening. Create a banner by printing and cutting out the XO's and the large circles. Hole punch the top and string them together to create the cutest banners. You could even add some glitter like we did to dress them up even more.
Our pennants are a fun addition. Cut them out and hot glue them to a wood skewer or wood dowel, or even a straw. Add some pretty ribbon or some glitter accents to make them even more special.
There's also different signs. We used the "I love you even more than I love popcorn" and added it to a frame to decorate the table. There's also a large "will you be my Valentine" in the free printable set.
Use the Movie Night Drinks and Movie Night Snacks signs in small frames for your treats table. There's also food labels, including blank ones that you can add your own food items to.
We've also included some small circles -which are great as cupcake picks when attached to toothpick, or they're cute tied onto pop bottles, used as Valentine gift tags, or even used to create a mini garland. There's also some cute Valentines that you can use to decorate, or to give out to guests.
Valentine Movie Night Snacks
We set our snack bar up on the coffee table, in front of the couch for easy access while movie watching.
The coffee table is covered in some inexpensive pink tulle from the fabric store as a fun and whimsical tablecloth. I also added a string of mini heart shaped lights. We blew up a bunch of cute pink and white Valentine's Day balloons with hearts on them to help add to the sense of occasion.
Popcorn Buffet
We wanted to include lots of yummy snacks for our movie night -since they're one of the best parts, what's a movie night without a large popcorn? And we included lots of popcorn options. We picked up three different kinds of popcorn at the grocery store including
- buttered popcorn
- white cheddar popcorn
- caramel corn
You could also include
- kettle corn
- pink candy corn
We served them in simple white bowls, but included some cute individual little popcorn boxes for each everyone to fill with their favourite or a combination. We also thought the heart napkins were a fun and festive touch.
Valentine's Day Candy
Along with our popcorn, we had to include some Valentine's Day candy. We picked up some
- classic conversation hearts
- cinnamon candy hearts
- heart shaped marshmallows
Our sweet treats look so cute in some heart shaped bowls for serving.
Valentine's Day Drinks
For a special non-alcoholic drink that the kids would love, create these pink cotton candy drinks -see our blue cotton candy drink recipe here.
Just add pink cotton candy to the bottom of a champagne glass and pour in some ginger ale or sprite. We used ginger ale, but spite is clear and would make an even more pink drink. Top the drink with a little more pink cotton candy for garnish.
These are great for kids to enjoy, and for the adults? How about some plain sparkling wine?
